Milk thistle fruit, also known as Silybum marianum, is a natural source of a flavonoid called silymarin. Milk Thistle contributes to the detoxifying potential of the liver. It also promotes bile production and supports natural regeneration of hepatic (liver) tissue and hepatic (liver) cells. Silybum marianum has physiological purifying functions and helps to balance sugar levels in the body.

Milk thistle also helps our heart stay healthy, supports our digestive system and contributes to the body’s defences against external agents. Additionally, milk thistle can protect cells and tissues against oxidative stress due to alcohol, UV exposure, stress or pollution.
